Shorten links from Telegram

Links shared in Telegram messages can become long and distracting, especially when they include campaign parameters or encoded characters. LinkTool’s Telegram bot provides a quick way to create a compact link without leaving the conversation.

Open @Link2lBot in Telegram and select Start. Send one complete web address in a message. The bot will process the address and return a shortened LinkTool link that you can copy into a private message, group, or channel.

Send one link at a time

For the most reliable result, send a single URL per message and wait for the response before submitting another one. Check that the original address includes the correct protocol, such as https://, and open the returned short link once before sharing it with an audience.

Never shorten a destination that is deceptive, unsafe, or unrelated to the text surrounding the link. A short address hides part of the destination, so the sender has an extra responsibility to explain clearly where it leads.

Create a QR code

When the QR option is available, the bot can generate a QR code for the shortened address. Download the image, place it with enough empty space around its edges, and test it on more than one phone. If it will be printed, test the code at the final physical size before producing multiple copies.

Review link activity

The bot’s available commands can provide quick access to link information and activity. Features may depend on your LinkTool account and the current bot version. For more detailed management, sign in to the LinkTool dashboard, where you can organize links and review their destinations.

Keep shared links useful

Use a descriptive sentence next to every short link, avoid unnecessary redirect chains, and remove or update links when the destination is no longer relevant. These simple checks make Telegram posts easier to read and give recipients more confidence before they click.

If the bot does not respond, confirm that you are using the official @Link2lBot account and try sending the URL again as a separate message.
