Privacy Policy

At LinkTool, the privacy of our visitors and users is of paramount importance to us. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of personal information received, collected, and processed by LinkTool (https://l2l.li) and how it is used.

1. Information We Collect & Log Data

Like most websites, LinkTool safely logs standard technical data to maintain system stability, analytics, and security. This includes:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) addresses
  • Browser type and device model
  • Referrer pages and timestamp data
  • Number of clicks and pages visited
  • Usernames (which may be displayed on certain internal system pages)

2. Social Authentication (Facebook, Google, Twitter/X)

If you choose to register or log into LinkTool using a third-party social account, we explicitly request and store only the absolute minimum data required to authenticate you:

  • Facebook Login: We only request and store your Email Address.
  • Google Sign-In: We only request and store your Email Address.
  • Twitter (X) Login: We only request and store your public account identifier and Email Address.

This data is used exclusively to safely create your account, verify your identity, and secure your login sessions.

3. Cookies

LinkTool securely stores small files known as cookies in your browser. These cookies are strictly functional and used for user convenience, such as remembering your language preferences, dashboard display settings, and active secure sessions.

4. Legal Basis for Processing Data

We process your personal information under the following legal frameworks:

  • Consent: Given explicitly by you when choosing to log in via social networks or completing a registration.
  • Contractual Necessity: Required to deliver our core URL shortening services, link management tools, and process premium upgrades.

5. Third-Party Data Processors & Payments

We guarantee that your personal data is never sold, leased, or traded to outside parties. To run our platform effectively, data interaction is limited to these trusted third-party providers:

  • Authentication Providers: Meta Platforms Inc. (Facebook), Google LLC, and Twitter/X Corp handle your social authentication safely.
  • Payment Gateways: If you upgrade to a premium plan, all financial data is handled directly and securely outside our system by PayPal or Stripe.

All user passwords stored directly in our database are heavily encrypted, securely hashed, and cannot be retrieved by anyone.

6. Your Rights & Total Data Control (GDPR / CCPA)

We believe in full user autonomy. In compliance with modern global privacy regulations (including GDPR), you hold complete rights to access, correct, or permanently erase your data:

  • To Edit/Correct Data: You can modify your email, account preferences, and settings directly at any time from your account panel.
  • To Erase Data (Right to be Forgotten): You do not need to wait for an administrator. You can permanently delete your entire account directly inside your user dashboard panel. Once clicked, all of your associated data is instantly, permanently, and irrevocably wiped from our active databases.

7. Social App Data Deletion Instructions

If you wish to disconnect LinkTool from your social platform accounts, you can manually revoke access at any time through their official settings:
